Wake Up Prince Al!

     The king woke up early to ride horses.  He invited his son the prince.  "No thanks," said Prince Al.  Prince Al went back to sleep.  He buried his yellow hair under a pillow.  I love sleep, he thought.  He started to snore.

     The queen woke up early.  She liked to work in the garden.  She invited her son the prince.  She was surprised to see his tall legs peek out from under his blanket.  "No thanks," said Prince Al.  I hate work, he thought.  Price Al went back to sleep.  He drooled on his bed sheet. 

     The princess woke up early.  She took the dog for a walk.  She invited her brother to join her.  "No thanks," said Price Al.  I can be alone, he thought.  Prince Al went back to sleep. He turned this way and that on the royal bed. 

     The king, the queen, and the princess came home.  They went to Prince Al's room.  Prince Al was still on his bed!  His hair was a mess.  His eyes were barely open.  Prince Al was still wearing pajamas!  

     That's when the royal family came up with a plan ....
