In order
to ensure that Brainfuse is responsive to the needs of today's student,
we have assembled an advisory board comprised of educational experts
from a variety of backgrounds.
Dr. Benjamin Ashcomb
Dr. Ashcomb
has a Ph.D. in Education from the Graduate School of Education at
the University of Pennsylvania where he currently serves on its
Board of Overseers. Dr. Ashcomb has taught courses at both Harvard
University and the University of Pennsylvania and is currently the
President and CEO of E-Verticals, Inc. He has helped design curricula
for Philadelphia and Newark public schools, and was a research director
for the Better Schools Evaluation Project, U.S.O.E. Dr. Ashcomb
has written extensively on education, including Stories of the
Inner City and The Pastor as Teacher.
Charles Schultheiss, M. Ed.
Mr. Schultheiss
teaches at the Center for Technology and School Change at Teachers
College, Columbia University. He is an expert in the use of technology
in education and online learning design. He maintains several websites
at Teachers College and New York University, and has contributed
to websites sponsored by The United Nations. He has a special interest
in accessibility issues with respect to online learning.
Dr. Olga Romero
Dr. Romero
is the Chair of the Special Education and Bilingual Education Department
at Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Dr. Romero
earned her Ph.D. in Speech and Language Pathology with a concentration
in Bilingual Education. Dr. Romero has also served as a bilingual
speech and language pathologist for the New York City Public School
District and as a bilingual editorial consultant for Scholastic
Inc. Dr. Romero is currently a technical reviewer of Title VII proposals
for the U.S. Department of Education (OBEMLA).
Rochelle Cohen
Ms. Cohen is
a learning specialist at one of New York City's leading private
elementary schools. She earned her Masters in Education at Columbia
University and specializes in teaching children with learning disabilities.
Ms. Cohen has taught at Teachers College, Columbia University, and
is a member of the International Dyslexia Society.
